Josh Roth is Chief Software and Systems Officer at Lila Sciences, where he oversees the engineering teams that build and manage the LILA application, cloud, and edge platforms at the intersection of LILA’s AI systems and AI Science Factories.
Prior to joining LILA, Josh was a Vice President at Amazon where he was the Chief Technology Officer of Ring. He oversaw a team of more than 800 engineers across the globe and helped guide Ring into becoming the largest home security company in the world. Josh and his team were responsible for the design and development of Ring’s hardware products, the oversight, scaling and architecture for Ring’s Cloud, Web, and Mobile App development, and managing the Data Warehouse, BI teams, IT, SRE and DevOps teams. Before Ring, Josh was the CTO at multiple companies including OneStop Internet, The NTI Group (acquired by Blackboard), Rent.com (acquired by eBay) and US Interactive (formerly Nasdaq: USIT).
Josh currently serves on the Board of Directors at PteroDynamics and Cuddly Group, and is an advisor to venture firms including Archer Capital Group, GenerativeIQ, and Outlander Ventures.
Josh holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles.
