Gaurav Garg is Vice President of AI and Software Engineering at Lila Sciences. He brings 20+ years of experience building and scaling several SaaS and consumer products from inception to global scale with $B revenues. He has led engineering organizations of up to 350 people and scaled teams across multiple growth stages. He champions AI‑enabled productivity with clear technology strategy, driving strong execution, operational rigor, and reliability across complex, fast‑growing environments.
Prior to Lila, Gaurav led engineering at Benchling, where he built and scaled products, AI agents, platforms, and infrastructure. Earlier, he held engineering leadership roles at Workday, Groupon, and Cisco Systems. He is a startup advisor, early-stage investor, and author of five patents.
Gaurav holds an MS in Software Systems and Architecture and a BS in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.
